How to make a Moodboard with AI?

Hello worldbuilders.

Last week I shared 3 ways you can use Text to Image AI to support your visual storytelling.

Today I want to go deeper into one of them - Moodboards.

To start, What is a moodboard?

Moodboard is a visual representation of a collection of ideas, concepts and inspiration for a specific project or design. It is a collage of images, text and other elements that are used to communicate a specific style, theme or aesthetic.

Text to image AI is PERFECT for this.

Instead of looking online for reference images, we can create our own. We can specify mood, colors, atmosphere, etc.

For example - I like fantasy worlds and I want to create one with a sense of mystery, awe and vastness.

For me, this starts with creatures. The world I see has creatures that I have never seen or encountered before and make me take a step back and feel overwhelmed at their presence.

Second are places. Places that make feel like inspired and awe-struck. Creating a feeling of possibility.

Third and most importantly is the mystery. Places, objects, creatures, that make me go: "What the Hell is this?" Something that pulls me in and leads me on an exploration.

I could look for references online with already existing images, but the flexibility of choosing an image and creating variations makes worldbuilding more immersive.

One image can lead to dozens of others, the world being built in front of my eyes step by step.
